“My work is centered around my life as an Indigenous woman living in an urban world and practicing traditions passed down from my ancestors. … I started integrating my heritage in my work when I realized that every race and walk of life is represented in art and media, except Indigenous people. We seem to be swept under the rug of representation. I want to capture the Urban Native that exists today.”
